We value each and every person who comes to live at Trezela House. We will assess your needs, suitability and motivation for engaging in the positive outcomes that we have to offer. And work with you to achieve your goals. We place the rights of service users at the forefront of our philosophy of care and encourage you to exercise your rights to the full.
Our main aim is to enable people with mental illness to live a normal life. We want you to realise personal aspirations and abilities in all aspects of living life to the full. We provide a real homely atmosphere whilst endeavouring to support you with 24 hour care with suitably qualified and experienced staff. We achieve this by encouraging and working with our service users to be fully integrated into the community in which we live and to take part in its activities according to individual needs, abilities and interests. With your help we will endeavour to support your daily living skills / needs with the aim of giving you back the confidence to live more independently and eventually move on to independent living.
We will work closely with you and the key people you want involved in your care. We will help you to arrange and make appointments and attend important reviews concerning your care and to ensure that you are in control at all times, knowing that you will be treated with utmost respect and dignity at all times.
It is our key duty to provide a safe, secure and fulfilling living environment for our service users, and this includes the right to take whatever isks in their lives that they feel they want to take. However as well as supporting the freedom of individual service users to take risks we do recognise we have a legal and moral duty to protect and care for service users some of whom are more vulnerable and may not always be capable of making choices about risks that are in their or the other service users benefits.
All service users have the right to autonomy and freedom.
We aim to provide an environment and structure of support such as risk assessments which responds to the need for security.
We will protect you from all forms of abuse and from all possible abusers. You will be given the information to access channels for dealing with complaints. We will create an atmosphere in the home which service users experience as open, positive and inclusive.
